What new features are found on Toyota Multimedia for 2022?
Building on the already impressive Toyota Multimedia interface, the revamped Multimedia system offers a host of impressive new features for 2022 and beyond.
An all-new interface
Toyota’s new HMI (human-machine interface) creates an improved, more intuitive interface allowing you to interact with your Toyota like never before. Whether it’s through sight, including an up-to 14-inch HD, glare-resistant glass touchscreen display, or through touch—up to 5x more responsive than previous Toyota Multimedia systems—you can quickly and confidently access information. Of course, there’s another sense you can use, which we’ll touch on below.
Your own personal Intelligent Assistant
Building upon the already capable Toyota Assistant, the cloud-based Intelligent Assistant takes things even further. Activated by a variety of wake-words, including simply saying, “Hey Toyota, find me—” your Toyota will be able to do everything from finding you the nearest coffee shop, dictating a message for you, checking the weather, and more!
Stay connected with Cloud Navigation
While you can easily access the information from your cell phone, via either the wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto apps, the always-connected Cloud Navigation system utilizes up-to-the-minute Google data to find you local businesses, or to update the traffic and map data in real-time to get you where you want to go faster.
Multiple User Profiles
Another advantage of being connected to the cloud is that the new Toyota Multimedia system offers multiple User Profiles. Your settings—like language, map, display, and destination preferences—will automatically save to the cloud, allowing you to load your unique User Profile to any other vehicles equipped with the new Toyota Multimedia system.
Of course, these are just a few of the perks of the new Toyota Multimedia system. Other features include (but aren’t limited to) dual Bluetooth device pairings, Service Connect, built-in over-the-air updates, Safety Connect, Drive Connect, and more!
What vehicles offer the all-new Toyota Multimedia system?
Currently, the all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra is the first vehicle to offer the brand-new Toyota Multimedia system. Though, we can expect to find it on new 2023 model year Toyota vehicles moving forward.
